Dr. Koren is awesome! Kind, compassionate, doctor and a true professional! My impression of him just got better over time. What doctor do you know these days that actually pushes their patients wheel chair down for a test? His office staff is also awesome! All the ladies in his office are pleasant and exremeley helpful! Aftercare is highly emphasized as important. There is a structured aftercare program...you are sent home with a post op manual, attend support group meetings, have direct access to paging his bariatric coordinator and follow up appointments in his office.Hi surgical competeence and bedside manner are both excellent! He addressed the risks honestly and statistically. I rate him exremely high! No worries with this man and his team on your side! Mandy, the bariatric coordinator, is also excellent!!

There are'nt enough words to describe the care that Dr Koren provides to his patients.We see it every time we go to Support Group Meetings,He has always been in attendance.If that is'nt dedication, I don't know what is......This also applies to the Bariatric Coordinator, Mandy who has always been there for me,to answer any questions I may have had regarding any issues with my surgery.
Dr Koren's personality & mannerism speaks for itself,his bedside & office manner has always been professional,caring & always competent.
Dr Koren's office staff are always polite,friendly & caring.
I will always be grateful to all who helped me with my personal battle to achieve a healthy lifestyle,it is truly a life change for the better.

5/22/08 RNY was flawless. Couldn't have selected a better Surgeon!! The entire staff was fantastic to work with. Don't have the words to express my love and respect for what they have done for future life.

I knew the moment I met Dr. Koren he would be the one to perform my surgery. He is an excellent surgeon and a wonderful person. He helped change my life and I will never forget that. The office and his support staff are the best. On a scalle of 1-10 he is a 550. I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary and the loss of 100lbs. This was a true blessing.

My first impression of Dr.Koren was he is a kind and gentle guy.He explained everything to you and he even stopped and asked if I had any questions.
His staff was just as great everytime I went in there they were able to answer my questions for me.
Mandy Nyce is a wonderful person she stood right by you every step of the way.
And at the hospital Lynette is a great nurse,she tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible..
I would rate everybody that was involed with my surgery a really great..

April 2007- My first impression of Dr. Koren, was that he is a very patient and kind man, that has a genuine concern for all of his patients. His staff is amazing and I can't say enough about the baratric coordinator, Mandy.
I am currently waiting for insurance approval, then a surgery date.
7/11/07 Update: I was approved for my surgery and it is scheduled for 8/21/07.
11/2/07Update: I had my surgery and I am now 2 months post-op. I am down 63 pounds and I feel fantastic. Dr. Koren is the best!

Dr. Koren is the best, he spends more time with each patient than any Dr. I have ever met. He attends each support group meeting and when you speak with him he knows you.
If all doctors had his bedside/office side manner we would all be much better off.
I can not compliment Dr. Koren enough, he was a superb professional and my WLS went flawlessly. Anyone in the Lehigh Valley who does not look at Dr. Koren for their surgey is missing an opportunity for a superb surgical experience.
The entire bariatric team from the Doctor, office staff, coordinator, nutritionist and hospital staff were excellent.

Dr. Koren and his staff have thus far been amazing. The monthly support group meetings are very informative! My surgery is scheduled for 9/20/07. I am using most of my spare time to read and research as much as possible. I am thankful for the opportunity at a second chance- I am NOT screwing it up this time. I want to be prepared!! Good Luck to anyone on this journey!
