Click here to read more Comments About Koren Bariatric and Surgical Services: DR Koren impressed both my husband and myself as being very knowledgable, caring and thorough in his consultation. He took the time to personally go over everything and answer all our questions. We have attended several support group meetings at which Dr. Koren was present and involved and he always seems truly interested in the education and wellbeing of his patients. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Dr. Koren & so far I would have to agree!

When I met with Dr. Koren the first time, I knew right away that he would be the one to do my surgery. His attitude, his manners, his tone, everything...it set the mood. I knew he was perfect. He was so caring, thoughtful and completely honest. That first visit with him was completely informative. He spent the entire time with me explaining everything thoroughly, answering all my questions in detail to my understnding. He was very honest and open with me and very genuine. He went through everything with me from beginning to end. Once all was said and done and we were ready to go ahead with surgery, it was a piece of cake. There wasn't a doubt in my mind walking into the hospital. I knew I was in good hands with Dr Koren and his assistant Mandy. They are both very caring and supportive. Click here to read more Comments About Koren Bariatric and Surgical Services: Very nice he greeted me and explained everythnig in detail answered the questions i needed answered and gave me the pros and cons. Even tells u all options doesn't try to sell u just on his proceedure. He will be my surgeon and i hope to get the operation early fall on account i have to get the time off from work. Mandy Nyce the nurse that works with dr. koren she has been great called me just to ask if i had any questions one day and to see if i was ok. I can't say enough about the group of drs i have seen this past month they have been great.

Janice Wambold    05/04/05 jangel1021@epix.net Roseto, PA Personal Comments: I was only about 85-90 lbs. overweight but had diabetes, HBP & MS prior to surgery. I was also recently married and had to appeal the first denial of insurance because of a pre-existing condition(s) but when they reconsidered my reasons for having the surgery they approved it. Comments About Koren Bariatric and Surgical Services: I liked Dr. Koren right from the start. His office staff was great at least to me. He has a great personality and is a great listener. He answers all of my questions no matter how silly I may think they are. I didn't have as much to lose as most of his patients but he is very encouraging none the less. I will probably only lose about 10 pounds a month from here on (5 weeks post-op) but I'm thrilled anyway. As a retired/disabled nurse myself I would rate Dr. Koren as one of the best in the business. I"m only stating my own opinion about Dr. Koren and you may experience things differently. I'm also glad that he had two hospitals to choose from because I wasn't happy with one of them but was overjoyed with the second choice.

Scheduled for the 28th of April. 5/1/05 Well things went pretty well. surgery day wasn't bad, until they tried to get me out of bed with out giving me any pain medication. But after a little morphine everything was fine. taking the drain and catheter out were new experiences. LOL they didn't hurt but were unlike anything else that i has experienced. He did an exelent job of describing what the risks are and what they do to reduce them as much as possible. His staff is the best, Ann who handles there insurance stuff is great to deal with. And Mandy Nice over at Easton Hospital was invaluable to making this as smooth as it was. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone. If i had anything negative to say about the whole thing is, he dosn't believe in a lot of pain medication, which i guess is probably the best thing medically but something after you get to your room might make the first time getting up out of bed alot easier
